You know when I first tried to flash ROM without root in any android smartphone in my device I failed. Then again I failed about 4-5 times and you know the mistakes all people's make when they tried to install custom ROM on their device is that they never perform a complete back-up of their devices because there are 70-80% chances that you will fail in this process when you literally don't know anything about it.
So clearly as it sound's that you all must perform a complete backup of your device. Before we undergo over next process.
There are many videos and tutorials that claim that trying this method cannot harm your device and nether it voids the warranty. So let me clear one thing that if you are installing custom ROM then you must have to unlock the bootloader because it's the main step that you have to follow. When you unlock the bootloader successfully from then on your phone warranty is gone. Hey but don't panic it's your brother here for you as there are several methods that can relock bootloader successfully which I will talk about in another article if you want me to make an article on How to lock bootloader in the android smartphone just comment down in the article I will be ready with that post in just 1-2 days.
So let's jump to the main topic that how can you flash rom without root In Any Android Smartphone.

Steps to Install custom ROM on your device
1- Finding the perfect and suitable custom rom
In order to find the best and perfect and bug-free custom rom for your device you can just go to Google search and type best custom rom for "your device model".
Here you can see that in the top search result is XDA Developers Forums which is very famous and highly trusted because of their famous developers.
On the second there is Lineageos Roms which is also top-rated for their amazing customization in the rom, But Lineageos Roms will make you feel like you are using stock rom and that's all your choice which to chose. I am going with XDA.
So just find a better Rom for your device and just download it.
When your Rom is downloaded just copy/cut the rom from the download folder and past it in the root of your internal memory.
2- Download TWRP Recovery for your device.
TWRP stands for team win recovery projects and it's an open-source recovery software for Android smartphone and headsets I am going to show you how to safely download TWRP and install it to a device without a root.
TWRP allows users to save install backup and restore the firmware on a device without having to worry about ruining the state of the device when rooting flashing or installing new firmware on an Android
phone you don't need to root your device to flash TWRP but you will need to unlock the bootloader which will erase all the content on your device also the method for unlocking the bootloader is different for each device so you should see the bootloader of your respective devices.
Download the Android SDK platform-tools
You can simply search in google download Android SDK and from there you can download the respective SDK for your PC, also do check your PC windows bit i.e. 64bit or 32-bit download it according to your windows.
Download and Flash TWRP for your device
you must first go to the team win website and after opening team win website in the upper right corner there will be a button called devices click the button once you're on the devices page you will need to find the correct TWRP file for your device do this by using the search bar or sorting through the list of OMS once you find the correct device there will be a section called download links with two categories to choose from Americas and Europe after clicking the correct link for your region there will be a list of files to download choose the latest TWRP de IMG file and download it go to the folder where the SDK platform tools was downloaded and extract the zip file copy the TWRP IMG file to the SDK platform tools folder on your device go to settings and tap on about phone this will lead you to a page with various information about your device at the bottom of that page there will be a button called build number tap build number seven times to unlock the developer options once developer options are unlocked click the back button and tap on the developer options while in developer options locate the USB debugging.
In USB debugging setting and turn it on in the developer options menu find the OEM unlocking button and tap to turn it on the device will prompt you to key in your security code and will state that unlocking the bootloader will disable the device protection feature this allows you to unlock the bootloader at the beginning of the device startup unlocking the bootloader will delete the data from your device make sure to backup all files images data and settings you want to keep connect your device to your computer via USB C or micro USB when connecting your device to your computer you may be prompted with a
a message asking to allow USB debugging if so tap always allow from this computer and tap the OK button before entering this step of the tutorial make sure your device is charged to at least 70 percent battery go to the SDK platform-tools folder on your computer in the white space hold shift and right-click a menu will appear and click open command window here and a command window will open in the command window type ADB devices and press enter your device will be listed and type ADB reboot bootloader.
press Enter
- your device will enter bootloader mode
- type in the command window fastboot
flash recovery TWRP IMG
- If your twrp dot IMG file is of another name change the entry for your corresponding device for the device.
- Then it would be typed fastboot boot TWR P - 3.2 3-0 - blue line IMG finally type in the command window your device will begin to boot again and the team when the logo will appear and begin installing it should take two to five minutes to install depending on your device now you can back up wipe install root and restore whatever you would like to on your Android phone.
3- Now Boot into TWRP for ROM installation
- Power off your device first.
- After the device completely shuts down then press the vol up + down + power button continuously until your phone boots up into TWRP recovery mode.
1- Perform full back up of your device ( highly recommended )
- Then select the boot file, if you want to backup all your data then you can select multiple files.
Then head towards the next step.
2- Wipe data from your device.
- Go to wipe option from the main screen.
- Then select the following options-
- Dalvik
- cache
- system
- vendor
- data
3- Now Flash the Custom ROM in your Device
- Go to install from the main screen.
- Then the location where you have put the downloaded ROM file.
- Select the file and just flash it.
- wait for approx 10-15 mins .
- And here you go you have successfully installed custom rom in your device.
